Returns & Refunds
Fortexa Security Solutions stands behind the equipment and services we provide. Because we work primarily with professional security and low-voltage equipment, custom configurations, and on-site labour, the following terms apply.
Final sale / non-refundable
The following are final sale and non-refundable once performed, opened, installed, or activated — except where the item is defective or where a refund is required by law:
- Labour, installation, service calls, and site visits
- Diagnostics, troubleshooting, programming, and configuration
- Special-order and custom-ordered items
- Opened electronics and any installed equipment
- Software, firmware, licenses, subscriptions, and activation codes
Returnable hardware (with approval)
Unused, unopened hardware in its original sealed packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery, only with prior approval from Fortexa Security Solutions. Contact us first to request a return authorization (RMA) — do not ship items back before approval.
Return shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to a Fortexa error (wrong item shipped) or a defective product, in which case Fortexa covers return shipping.
Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method. Please allow a few business days after approval for the refund to appear. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to approved returns of non-defective items.
Defective or damaged items
If an item arrives defective or is damaged in transit, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no return-shipping cost to you.
Your legal rights
This policy does not limit, replace, or remove any rights or remedies you are entitled to under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act (Loi sur la protection du consommateur) or any other applicable Quebec or Canadian consumer protection law. Where this policy conflicts with those laws, the law prevails.
